Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost? My pricing for custom portrait sessions can be found on my investment page. All wedding packages are individual so contact me for a custom quote!
Do you work with a second photographer? A second photographer can be added to any wedding package. I have several professional photographers that assist me when needed.
Where do you live and how far will you travel? I live in the Browns Point area and my studio is located in downtown Tacoma. I am willing to travel as far as you would like! Planning a destination wedding? I do have a passport and am willing to travel.
Do you come to the rehearsal? I would be happy to come to your rehearsal and that can be added to your package by simply adding hourly coverage.
Do you offer engagement sessions? Yes, I do offer engagement sessions, and I highly recommend it! This is a great time to get to know each other prior to your wedding day!
Can I scan and print my images? Or just copy them from my online gallery for printing?
A word about copyright. The Federal Copyright Law protects copyrighted images. It is unlawful to copy or scan any of my images without my express permission. Even though the photos may be of you or your family, I still own the copyright to the image. I do sell digital files so there is no need to scan an image when you can purchase a beautiful high resolution file! Once purchased, you receive my copyright release. However, all prints are still protected by my copyright unless you purchase the copyright for those images separately.
What happens if I’m late to my session?
Well, not exactly . . . .
Basically, I schedule your sessions at the time of day when that particular location has the best light and for the time allotment you have chosen. Usually, that light will only last for the time of your session. So if you’re late to your session, it just means that I will have less time to take photos. Which means that I will take fewer photos and you will receive fewer photos in your gallery.
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather is uncooperative for your session, we will reschedule the session or move it to the studio if it is available.
When will my session gallery be posted?
Portrait session galleries will be posted no more than 14 days after the session. Wedding Day galleries will be posted in 4-6 weeks!
How long will my gallery be available?
Your gallery will be available online for 30 days after your session date. After that time, your images will be archived off-site.
How do I order enlargements or digital files?
Whether you’re one of my portrait clients or couples getting married, I deliver your photos the same way: through an online password protected gallery. This viewing/delivery gallery allows you to mark your favorite images, share them on social media, download images, and order prints.
What if I want to order prints after 30 days?
If you would like to order prints after your gallery has expired, I charge a $125 unarchiving fee to cover my time and travel to retrieve your images and repost them for you. Once you have paid the fee, I will post your images into a gallery for you for 30 days. At that point, your unarchival fee becomes a print credit, credited toward print purchases made within the 30 days.
When will I receive my prints?
My turnaround time on regular prints is usually 2 weeks. Canvases will take at least 4 weeks. Albums will take 4-6 weeks. If you would like your prints in a hurry, expedited shipping is available for an extra charge.
Do you have insurance? Yes, I am both licensed and insured.
What kind of gear do you shoot with? I’m a Nikon-girl!!! I shoot with the best gear available. I’d be happy to send over the specifics if you’d like!
Can you hold my wedding date? Your wedding date can be reserved with a signed contract and 25% retainer of your package price. Unfortunately a date cannot be held without those two things.
What is required to book you for my wedding? A 25% of your package price retainer and a signed contract will reserve me for your wedding date. For portraits a signed contract is required.
What are my options for payment? Cash, check, all major credit cards & Paypal
What is your payment schedule? 25% of your package price is due upon signing of the contract to reserve your date and the other half is due 4 weeks prior to your wedding day. Contact me for a custom payment schedule if needed.
Can we pay you part of the wedding payment after the wedding? Unfortunately this is not an option at this time. All payment must be made before shooting begins on the wedding day.
If I have to cancel my wedding or change date, will I get my money back? Your 25% retainer is non-refundable, but it is transferable to a new date up through the following calendar year.
